Personalise your Bike
Choose your Decopatch papers. In terms of quantity, you’ll need enough paper to wrap the object + half as much again.
Prepare your Decopatch paper: tear up or cut it.
Make sure your bike is clean, dry and has a sound surface.
Apply the white Gesso on the area you want to décopatch. It is used as an undercoat before decorating with decopatch or other similar papers. Simply paint it onto your object and start applying your papers; the resulting creation will be brighter and more vibrant.
Brush the glue-varnish on an area slightly larger than the piece of paper you want to stick to the surface. Apply the paper to the surface and then brush a layer of glue-varnish over the top of the paper making sure there are no air bubbles. Working from the centre of the paper out to the edges helps give a smooth finish. Remove excess glue-varnish.
Apply an exterior varnish to protect your bike. Once the varnish has dried it leaves your object slightly waterproof (from light showers) and UV protected.
